A two vehicle accident in the 2200 block of Mocksville Highway kept crews busy. Engine 1 and Chief 200 responded from an earlier incident on Interstate 40. Crews arrived to find a Chevrolet Truck off the road that had struck a compact passenger car. Each only had one occupant. The driver of the car was transported by EMS IMED 5 with non live threatening injuries. The other driver refused treatment. Crews from Engine 1 and Truck 1 directed traffic after treating the patient who was moved to the passenger seat of Car 20. Heavy rains were occurring before and during the incident. Debris from the accident was removed by firefighters. Crews remained on the scene until the roadway was cleared.
