Engine Company 2 and Chief 200 responded to a two car MVA at the intersection of Chestnut Grove Road and Allen Creek Road. IMED 3 was the first arriving unit and they confirmed a fatality. The occupant of the pickup truck had left the scene. Deputies from the Iredell County Sheriffs Office along with a K-9 officer tracked the subject but were unable to locate. NCSHP Troopers arrived to investigate the accident. Our crews and Rescue 8 from Iredell Rescue remained on the scene for over 3 hours providing scene lighting for the investigation. Firefighters also cleared the road of all accident debris before clearing the scene.
