Tanker 1 and Chief 200 responded to assist Wayside with a structure fire on a hot Sunday afternoon. Tanker 1 arrived and supplied water to Engine 602 and Statesville Engine 3 which was the first company on scene. The structure was behind a house and was used for housing cats. It had air conditioning and was like a small house. Three crews rotated working the scene due to the summer heat. One person was injured. Tanker remained on the scene until the incident was over.
