House Damaged by a Tree During Afternoon Thunderstorm

A late afternoon storm causes severe damage to one home in the Cool Springs Fire District. Cool Springs and Iredell Rescue were dispatched to a tree on a house with occupants trapped inside. Cool Springs E-2 and Iredell Rescue arrived on scene to find a large tree on top of a house with heavy damage to the structure. All occupants were out of the structure upon our arrival. Command called for Emergency Managment, Energy United and Red Cross to the scene. Utilities were secured and a safe area was established. County Building Inspector was also called to the scene. Homeowners received help for a place to stay from Red Cross. All units was back in service later that evening.
