Engine 1 responded to a motor vehicle accident in the east bound lanes of Interstate 40 at the 155 mile marker. Engine 1 arrived on the scene and found a passenger car that had left the roadway and struck a tree. Driver was uninjured. We remained on the scene until released by NC Highway Patrol.
