Cool Springs firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 400 block of Bell Farm Road on Saturday the 23rd. Engine 1 arrived to find a single vehicle accident involving a Ford SUV. Vehicle had rolled multiple times and debris littered the roadway. The driver's side wheels and tires had been torn away from the vehicle and they could not be located. Even with all the damage to the vehicle the driver had self extricated himself before our arrival and he was not injured. The road was closed for over and hour awaiting the removal of the vehicle. Cool Springs firefighters cleared all the debris from the roadway and assisted the NC Highway Patrol with traffic control. The driver was later charged with DWI and speeding.
