On Monday evening our members began the task of testing hose. This is a task that is required to be completed every year for every hose line that we have in service at Cool Springs. We take every piece off of every apparatus and test it. This is done by putting pressure on the hose for a certain amount of time. We record the hose numbers, mark the couplings to check for separation and repeat process. This is one of those tasks that is not fun but must be completed. In the early stages of testing on this evening we got dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with a possible fatality. While some members ran the call the others had to stay back and test the LDH since it was already on the ground. Great work by all involved and all the hose for this evening got tested.
